A Short History Lesson

For more than 2000 years the Jews have lived in Italy. This blog will atempt to tell some of their story through food. The recipes that will be included here are a mixture, a melange, of Middle Eastern and Spanish/Sephardic influence... not to mention the history.

Please keep in mind, a recipe is nothing more than a guideline. One can change them according to one's own taste, dietary needs, or family preferences. Most of these recipes have come from my mother and grandmother. Some I have collected along the way. We will start from the beginning, moving through by courses... the way the food is meant to be eaten. It's going to be an interesting (and Kosher!) experience.
